My writing life...

moves like a snail--an inch a minute.

Really, I know I should write more, but so many interruptions!!

I want so much to write a story portraying a female minister's life and what she has to go through as a minister--the good, the bad, the ugly--and at the same time give the message that a minister is a human, not a god, and should be forgiven, not killed off, for committing a sin.

Well, this may not work...but I'm still gonna try.

Revision has begun...

I signed up for Holly Lisle's How To Revise Your Novel workshop at and I'm busier than ever before going through my first novel with the course as a guide. Hopefully, Holly's lessons will teach me a lot about writing while polishing my novel for publication.

Good luck to me!!

Writing Woes

Been a while since I've posted an update on my writing, but that's because I've been so busy.

My friend, Angelika Devlyn, the one who wrote Black Ice which is the first book in the Dark Kingdom Chronicles, began doing WHAMS. What are WHAMS? We schedule meetings over Yahoo Messenger to discuss and help each other with our writings. We have been working full time on getting me setup with Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and so many more, plus chat time at the Alernative Read Group, I mean we have been BUSY.

Together we have managed to get from a tentative outline with my new book to Chapter One first draft and that's saying a lot. I hope to make this one a fantasy story with humans and demons in private battles.

On the first of October I plan to signup for Holly Lisle's course that will help me over the editing wall. I'll be using my first finished manuscript. Hopefully, it'll come out of this in a salable condition. lol

Till next time, Write...Write...Write

My Friend, Ella

Ella Blackhart, a dear friend with a heart of gold, is much better at this blog thing than I am. She at least updates every once in a while. lol

Anyway, Ella's writings are something any fantasy, erotic, lover should read. She hasn't much published yet, but Google her and find the few that are. You won't be sorry.

I've just revisited her blog in order to view the pics of her dogs she's posted. We're usually working 'together' on the computers while the Yahoo! messenger is open and we bounce ideas off each other. Tis a good way to encourage each other. Anyways, she's always having to 'walk the dogs' and now I get a chance to meet them. Thanks for sharing, Ella.

I talk alot, only to procrastinate

Yep, that's me alright.

I just read my last post in this group and realize I'm really full of hot air.

Trouble is, I made a general schedule and followed it for a while, then something happened and wham! out went the schedule and in came other activities. This went over and over again, round and round, until I've reached the place where I sit today.

I've submitted a few stories since the last post, one was rejected only because the magazine wasn't accepting any more submissions for a while. The other one, submitted just a week or so ago, is under consideration. I love it when that happens.

It only brings me back to the understanding I keep forgetting: You won't have all your writings accepted and published, but don't give up. Keep submitting. it's the only way to go.
